Sorry, my bad, dunno why I put 20g, 20 capsules we're taking...

which is only 10000mg, not 20000mg. It still seems a tad worrying knowing it can have detrimental effects long term, and the first post does say to take 10000mg for 3 months, reduce the dosage, but if the spots come back, to up the dosage again, which is a very indefinite statement.

It is possible for this to be unwise for people who already have some kind of GI problem, or IBS or something similar.

I dunno, I don't mean to run down the idea or anything, after all I'm trying it for 3 months at 10g to see if it has a positive effect. I'm just concerned that it may do more harm than good if it goes on too long.

Don't flame me...I'm just putting my thoughts on the topic into the forum :D

Take it easy!

But I don't want to deal with the side effects of BP, accutane or anti-biotics.

B5 is simple, much cheaper than prescriptions especially when you add in the office visits, probably at least as safe or safer than accutane etc.

There are more people saying it works on other sites too and they aren't all in the business of selling vitamins.

It's wortha try, IMO. So I started last week.

I got diarhea at just 3 or 4 grams a day, so I'm going to try a different approach.

B5 - 500 mg 2x a day

B-50 Complex 2x a day

B6 - 100mg 2x a day

Biotin - 5mg

Selenium - 200mcg

Zinc - 30mg 2x a day

Folic Aid - 800mcg

Chromium GTF - 200mcg 2x a day

Magnesium - 300mg

Plus Vitamins E, A & D (cod liver oil), C

So far, so good, but it's early and gettig off-topic for this thread, so I'll report results on a different thread as time goes on.

lol, i just found that out today when my first delivery turned up!

guess it saves on buying biotin and b-complexes.

i've also been taking milled flax seeds (not inferior oil or capsules). its one of natures richest sources of omega-3 and one of the things it can do is help maintain bowel regularity.

since taking 10 grams of B5 i've rarely gone more than once a day and it has not been close to diarrhoea. I will recommend that people take 20 grams a day. It has helped me and the day I forgot to take it, I was left me with an unsettled stomach.

Hey, brad, that's funny you mentioned about your shoulders... mine had been pretty clear for the last couple of months, but when I looked yesterday I was amazed at how clear it is! It looked like all I had were the pale scars, absolutely no active acne on my shoulders.

My face is very calm at the minute, but I'm using retin-a, mandelic acid, and b5 @ 10g a day. I've been using retin-a for a while now, so it has to be either the b5 or the MA that's made my face so much clearer. I love both products, so I can't wait to see how my face looks after the 3 months is up!

The powder seems cheaper so someone plzzz say.

I have mild consistent on the cheek area where I have peach fuzz. At time its gets real bad. Anyways I went to Whole Foods and bought "Solgar" brand Pantothenic Acid 550 mg capsules which has 100 in them.

Since I only have mild acne I will only go up to 5g-6g a day. After I run out of this I wanna buy some online cause its cheaper.

So which ono Powder or Pills??

hey, I just had a quick question:

I'm on my foruth week of B5 and my skin is clearing up real nice. However, my face still gets oily, especially when I wake up in the morning. Could it be the weather? It's like 3O Degrees celcius here.(Toronto, Canada)

hi,

i am on my 5th day of vilantae

i have been doing 10 a day for the 5 days and i will start taking 20 a day starting tomorrow

i suggest you follow the directions like i did. its the initial loading phase of the treatment. they don't tell you to take 10 each day for the first 5 days for fun do they? it gets your body used to the high intake of b5 that its about to get after the first 5 days. i wouldn't like to be washing your underwear if u are going to take 20 straight away without loading it for the first 5 days. also take with food to avoid stomach upsets etc.

kind regards

brad

it could be that your sweating in your sleep and your face is perspiring. it could be type or amount of moisturiser that you are using at night. it could be hormonal.

im no expert although i would be sleeping with just a sheet on and light clothes or maybe a fan circulating air around the room if it is really hot. also i would experiment with putting more or less moisturiser on your face at night. if your putting too much on it could be the moisturiser shining and not the oil or if your not putting enough on it could be your body responding to the dryness by producing excess oil.

mmm im not much help but thats what i would try

kind regards,

brad

I just picked up 3 bottles of Pantothenic Acid (GNC BRAND, anyone try it?) the other day and I am going to follow the routine given.

I do not have severe acne, maybe mild, if that. I do however have VERY oily skin. I literally go through a package of blotting pads every 3 days. I feel that my oily skin is the only reason I do get the occassional pimple.

Has anyone had any success with b5 when it comes to oily skin?

I hope so - I have nothing to lose, so im giving it a try. Hopefully this stuff dont make me breakout. I have not had a breakout in a few years now.

HI GUYS I HAVE STARTED USING THE B5 5G A DAY. THIS IS MY SECOUND DAY ON IT. I AM WASHING MY FACE WITH ST. IVES RADIAENT CLEANSER WITH SALICYLIC ACID MORNING AND NIGHT AND TOMORROW I WIL BE USING THE ST. IVES. MEDICATED CLEANSER WITH 2% SALICYLIC ACID JUST 2X A WEEK. AND ALSO WANT TO TRY USING BP CLLEANSER C&C BRAND BUT I JUST NOTICED THAT IT HAS MINERAL OIL IN IT. DOES ANY BODY KNOW IF MINERAL OIL WILL MAKE THINGS WORSE. HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET. AM SKEPTICAL ABOUT IT. WITH THE B5 i HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED ANY BAD SYMPTOMS YET, i WILL KEEP WRITTING ABOUT IT.

i started vilantae about two weeks ago and my face is now clear. i am also using differin cream and taking minomycin. all i have noticed is that my lips and eyes get a bit dry although this could be because i let the water run on my face in the shower for a couple of minutes.

im going to keep taking 20 per day until the first bottle is gone and then start taking 15 for the next bottle then 10 for the next then just stay on 5 considering i don't start breaking out

it says on the vilantae website that you may break out a bit in the first 3 months of treatment although this is normal.

my advice is just to stick to their directions which is 20 per day.

also if you have any questions about vilantae they cover it pretty well on their website so ust look around for a bit

good luck

brad
