lemon juice applied to face for red marks

Recommended Posts

Can anyone explain to me how to do this method more detailed? Do you leave it on all day as a toner or 15 minutes? Or do you leave it on all night? I plan to do it for 15 minutes and leave cucumbers over my skin during that time.

I have sensitive asian skin also. Anyone knows if this would help my red marks?

If you have very sensitive skin, you may want to dilute the lemon juice before applying, and only leave it on for a short period of time. Lemon juice is a mild exfoliant (AHA: citric acid, small amounts of glycolic acid), antioxidant (ascorbic acid and assorted flavonoids), mild antibactrial and fungal agent (citrus essential oils, other compounds), and mild healing stimulant to some extent. It may help a little or a lot over a period of time depending on the person. The ph of lemon juice is very low, so you may want to dilute it or slightly neutralize it to bring the ph up a little bit.
