Hey all,

I actually asked this question in my blog but obviously no one would read it b/c there are so many haha so hoping to get more responses here. I have only been taking Accutane for about 8 days now (started last Monday 4/23/07) and my skin oil has all ready gone down considerably like I still can’t believe it. (I am taking it for acne but my skin is extremely oily as well). When I wake up in the morning my face would usually be like soaked in oil but its actually felt dry which is crazy b/c I have had it real bad for 6 yrs now. It’s weird though b/c like my left cheek feels dry and then the right cheek is somewhat dry but not as dry as the left. Also when I wipe my face during the day I am not like picking up any oil on the sheets or def. not as much as I did before but my skin is still like shiny when I look at in the mirror or wherever.

So my question to you all if you had this experience is, is this normal? Like to go down in oiliness little by little or maybe some sections might get drier then others. Also does the shine go away too eventually? Like face does feel much drier but still kind of shiny so maybe I feel like still some oil in there too. Also I am using my bp regimen still which is proactive toner, bp gel, and moisturizer so you think that could be adding to the shine too? I am trying to get away from the bp but kind of scared b/c not sure if I’ll start breaking out like crazy. Well let me know if you guys can b/c I would really appreciate it. Good Luck!!
