Why me??

A very quick question about dry/oily skin

Recommended Posts

I know that if we over-dry our skin, it will compensate by producing more oil. My question is, if for example I apply a drying topical only on my nose, will my skin compensate by producing more oil on my entire face or only produce more oil on my nose?

i think the skin will supply the oil on the dry spot only

it may slightly affect the local area

second that.

keep the skin moisturized not just by moisturizer but get a humidifier in your room.

not so sure about the humidifier

im sure it will keep your skin hydrated and all

but humid condition stimulates the gland to produce more oil

If anything, the place where I live (Malaysia) is too humid and hot. I seriously think the weather is also to blame for my acne problem. :D

I think the theory is that actually drying skin doesn't actually cause more oil at all in fact. I would doubt it would make any difference.
