I have been off a successful dose of Roaccutane for 10 months and am not as oily in the T-zone as i was but my skin has changed a bit ofver the last few months and I have had a few mnor breakouts and now feel congested around my chin and mouth. I started to use the AHA serum that my derm recommended but it just made me very irritated and caused me to break out (and I was only using ir once a week for 6 weeks). I rang my derm and she suggested easing off a bit more on it and she has sent out this script for Tazarotene. I am in Australia so I am thinking it must be Tazorac as we do use slightly different names sometimes (Accutane is Roaccutane here etc.) She said it is widely used in the US and it is less irritating than Differin (as I had a bad breakout on Differin and hated it) and it has the added bonus of helping wrinkles etc. Does this sound like it???

If yes, what can I expect to happen to my skin i.e.side effects etc. How many people love it/hate it and why?

I really only have a bit of congestion around my chin and I seem to have one small pimple (not even worthy of popping) at a time on my chin and a few blackheads. My sking was worse when I rang the derm and she gave me this without actually seeing my skin as Icouldn't get into her until May.

Those of you that have had bad breakouts from Tazorac, was your acne bad when you started or minor? Did you start off using it every night or every other night or even weekly? If you start really slowly, does this minimize the breakout?
