SPF really necessary?

Recommended Posts

well i know that BP and AHA makes your skin extra sensitive to sunlight

I dont usually get sunlights during the daytime so

Im not really sure if i need a SPF moisturizer during the day or not

because i kinda dont like having SPF stuff on my face it kinda shines

so im still deciding on my morning moisturizer (one with SPF or not)

my night moisturizer is Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion Night

Sun exposure isn't just sitting outside on the beach. It's taking a short walk outside to get the mail and chat with a neighbor, working next to a window, driving your car (windshield!), and other times when you're exposed to sunlight with BP/AHA on without even realizing it. If you aren't doing too many things like this, then no SPF is fine, but as a college student who spends a good amount of time walking around between classes and whatever, I feel that I need to have SPF during the day but that a lot of other people my age doing similar acne treatments like Proactiv don't realize this.

i have never heard of anything really bad happening to someone whose used SPF everyday, and there are plenty of people on this site who have been using it for a long time and were fine.
