cool...I did notice that Avon started selling it recently (in supplement form), but I didn't consider purchasing it until now. I know that the hyaluranic acid moisturizer from SSC is good stuff.

HA is influenced by nutrition and other environmental factors. Good natural sources of Hyaluronic acid include starchy root vegetables such as satsumaimo and taro, as well as chicken skin and animal parts with a large concentration of hyaluronic acid.

Is there anywhere we can buy this in the uk as it would prove pretty expensive to keep getting it shipped every month? ](*,)

Well guys,

I went to the health food store and picked up a bottle. The concentration in the capsules is 20mg....a far cry from the loading and maintenance dose! I took 100mg tonight and will up my dosage as I acquire more bottles of pills! I want to give this a good 3-6 month run to be able to form a really good opinion. I'll keep you guys posted!

is there any possibility of overdosing on this stuff and getting some nasty side effects? are there any side effects at all with this stuff? anything we need to be concerned with at all if we decide to use this stuff? kinda sounds too good to be true.

Hi again guys,

Okay I started looking around the net and I found this site: http://www.haformula.com/haformula/Synthovial7.htm

They have the HA in liquid form, much better for me! I spoke at great length with the owner and he stated that his wife uses the product and it definately smooths the skin and plumps it up, as well as helping with any joint problems (I know my knee could use a boost..lol) The concentration of their liquid is around 2.15mg/7 drops. He states that his wife doubles this dose for a few weeks, kind of like a loading dose and then adjusts up or down as necessary. He swears by this product. I went ahead and placed and order to try it out. He is very helpful, so if you have any questions I would go to the site and give him a call. He was not familiar with the article that appeared in Woman's World, nor about dosing at that high level. Hope this helps!

Those both look good, with the right concentration to boot! I spoke with another guy at a company that sells the liquid and he said that the concentration in the liquid is at a much higher level than the pill form, thus the lower dosage. We'll see. I'm going to check into some of these blends that you guys found! Thanks!! biggrin.gif

I just wanted to add that Hyaluronic Acid is also available in topical form. A couple of examples are:

http://www.naturalskincare.com

Here's a link for info on it: http://www.naturalskincare.com/hyaluronic.html

I believe it's also an ingredient in:

Spenco 2nd Skin Quick Heal gel

There are quite a few products that contain Hyaluronic Acid.

Tamara,

It IS the ingredient in spenco. That stuff works really well..I just rediscovered it and was raving about it on another thread.

I heard that, too, when I first discovered spenco, so I emailed them about it, and was told that they were -not- discontinuing 2nd skin ointment.

I just called Spenco's 800 # in Texas and asked the customer service rep if they had any plans to discontinue this product and she said NO, they are still making it and will continue to do so. biggrin.gif

yo U guys must b very desparate & desparation doesnt usually lead

2 good outcomes in any thing. The H acid is Restaylane & I think as

a FILLER it could b great 4 shallow scars. Much longer lasting than

collagen and NOT permanent.

Well guys I have been using the Hyaluronic supplements for a few weeks now and I can say that I definitely see a plumping in my skin. I stopped (actually ran out) for several days and I could see a change in my skin. I looked more dried out, the texture of my skin looked different. Too soon to comment on helping with scars, but it definitely helped with the texture and appearance of my skin. A keeper for me!!user posted image
