Neutrogena Rapid Clear Treatment

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I've recently purchased the Neutrogena Rapid Clear Treatment spot cream.

I have mild to moderate spots and pimples, rarely get really large pimples.

I've started using this Neutrogena treatment cream, and when I apply it, I get a slight tingling sensation, almost like a stingly feeling, and I'm not quite sure if this is good or bad.

Before using this treatment cream, I was using the Clearsil Spot Treatment cream.

It's already been about 3 weeks now that I've used the Neutrogena treatment cream, and I seem to have more spots than before.

I've heard about stuff where you break out more, and then generally have better skin afterwards, but I'm not quite sure now.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

although some products get you more zits at first and then it gets better, BP isnt neccessarily supposed to do that. its supposed to pretty much start blocking the zits right away. However, since it takes them a week or two to form, it could take awhile for all the old zits to get out. However, if youve been on it for three weeks, thats obviously already happened, so i pretty much say you should just chuck the stuff.

i was never a fan of anything they did, except their moisturizer

Salicyclic acid treatments like the one you're using are not good at spot-treating acne. Salicyclic acid is an exfoliate so it can unclog your pores to prevent comedonal acne, but it's not going to do a good job at dealing with existing spots or preventing most of your typical red pimple type acne. Benzoyl peroxide products (such as Neutrogena On-the-Spot) are better on both counts for that purpose.
