Info about Microdermabrasion

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I have been going to a skin specialist (not a dermatologist) for a couple months now and my skin has cleared up. Now all that remains are a LOT of redmarks and small scars. My specialist is going to begin microdermabrasion in 2 weeks. Has anyone used this method, and does it really help with scars and redmarks? She said it will taake a few months to completely get rid of all the marks...but I don't know if this is true. My marks WONT leave.

So can you guys just let me know if it works...and how long it takes to see results... thanks so much

It can. What kind of micro will she be doing? Manual (a cream and a brush) is good but will take a bit longer than a machine (a wand with either a diamond tip or crystal spray PLUS suction). But both will work. I think good skin specialists can be wonderful in getting acne under control. Good for you! How long it takes depends on a lot of things.

Yes I think it will help. Trust your specialist she sounds like she's been helpful so far. I think you'll probably see some (even if only a little) improvement after your first one. It really helps red marks fade much faster than they would on their own. It can help reduce the appearance of scars but it won't get rid of them completely...you'll be amazed though how much less you notice them when they're not all angry red. You'll love it. Keep us posted.

Before taking Roaccutane, I used to have a crystal clear every month and it worked wonders on top layers of my skin. However, I needed medication as the acne kept coming back but I dont have one red mark on my face and will have micro ( Crystal Clear) once I have finished my course.

If you type in google CRYSTAL CLEAR FACIAL it will give you info about it.

I hope that helps. Please fel free to ask me any questions about Micro, had loads.

I'm sorry for your experience. I will say that even going to a medical office, it won't be the doc performing a MICROdermabrasion. And the only difference between a medical machine and an esthetic model is the medical one has higher strength capabilities available on it. You don't need those unless you're trying to draw blood( and let's face it, you can do that with anything really by scrubbing too hard, so even the esthetic models could be made to do this) and that's not what you want to do to get rid of discoloration. I will also say that the machines are better than the manual methods (like the creams with brushes) for this also. And that finally, the treatment is only as good as the technician performing it. I've seen people with less than satisfactory results from medical grade machines only because the tech did not take their time and give the best treatment possible.

I did it with a skin specialist and my face was glowing! I am about to start having them done every month! What products are you using that got you clear?
