In my opinion thats not a good idea. I use hydrocortisone for eczema and i was told that it decreases the immune reponse in that area. Because eczema is an eggagerated alergic reaction, hydrocortisone works to decrease lymphatic activity therefore reducing redness/inflammation etc. If it was used for acne, the infection would not be fought off and would get worse. It would probably reduce the redness, but the actual pimple would stay around much much longer.
