1. When you pick, it damages your skin further, which can then cause scarring, or at least make the acne take much longer to fade. Never pick at your face.

2. Yes, it's normal to break out after you stop medicating. To an extent.

3. Vaseline is about the worst moisterizer I could practically imagine.

Vaseline is a great moisturizer for your hands and feet if they are really chapped......put it on, put socks/gloves on and then next morning they are wonderfully soft.

But, for the face.....DON'T GO THERE.

yes you may have an initial breakout with medication. keep using it persistantly though!

NO VASELINE IS THE WORST THING EVER!

actually vaseline is NOT pore clogging. it says so on the label and also check it on the comedgecity (sp!) listing. go to google type in 'acne detective' search for that, it should be on sage skin care. anyways it's lsited as 0 comedgecity and 0 irritation.

sometimes it is better to pick (PROPERLY) than not to. skin can tolerate a small amount of irritation (you squeezing your acne PROPERLY) but it cannot tolerate longterm irritation without scaring (you having acne that takes forever to go away). people who tell you to "leave your face alone", do they think about what they are saying? if you have a LARGE blemish thats really red and inflamed, the bacteria that's living underneath your skin in that big inflamed blemish is DAMAGING your skin...it's killing the neighboring cells (amongst other things).

i would stay away from vaseline... it is made from pure plant OILS and WAXES (think putting oil on your skin and then sealing it off with wax so it can block the pores).
