Fish oil IS omega 3.

Fish oil= Epa and DHA (long chain omega-3's)

Flax seed/oil= ALA (short chain omega-3's)

ALA can be converted into EPA and DHA especially well by females, which is good because flaxseed is dirt cheap in comparison to fish and fish oils.

Simple answer: Take both.

Apparently Linolenic Acid to EPA/DHA conversion is more of a 1/5 chance. Also Flaxseed converts in linoleic acid (omega 6) which can be problematic for acne sufferers if they dont know what their doing.

Walnuts, they're the second highest naturally occurring source of omega-3.

Interesting! I'm glad I asked, I'll prob get the fish oil than. It doesnt have any aftertaste/effect does it? Zinc makes my mouth taste like metal after day 3 or so. I still take it tho

The poll doesnt make much sense, since omega 3 is in both flax and fish oils.

Both are healthy, but fish is more readily used by the body since flax has to be converted.

Im a vegetarian, so I take flax.

I was confused about that to. Im thinking what Omega 3 and fish oil are the same thing. My bottle says Omega 3 Fish Oil 1000 mg capsules

Ok so Omega 3 & Fish oil are the same, got it. I dont know how to amend the poll to eliminate one option but regardless, the more i read up on this the more obvious that Fish oil is the right choice.

I would say take the fish oil, and eat plenty of salmon (especially the kind that still has the skin/bones in it)if you get bumblebee's it has 1 gram of omega 3 per serving, and a can is roughly 3.5....

Fish oil has regulated my oil production to the point where I have no excess oil. It's godsend for myself. I hope it works for you too.
