How to prevent scarring? Especially from clogged pores?

Ive come to that conclusion to NoPainInSpain. Regardless if I pop my cystic pimples or not they always scar. Its very frustrating and it is like bashing your head against the wall

Yeah, unfortunately there is no known and effective way to prevent acne scarring. Some people say keeping the area moisturized helps while other swear by keeping it dry and letting the scab stay on one's face as long as possible because they think it maximizes the healing potential.

I believe genetics play the biggest role and I guess proper nutrition can't hurt probably.

The only way is obviously not to get acne in the first place, which is an easier said then done type of battle as we all know.

I agree, also, picking at your face isint the greatest for it either. I wish I would have just kept my hands away from my face, and just let the acne run its course (with the medications help of course). Just keep working on your face, keeping it as clean as possible.

i think if you must pop a pimple, you have to make sure your face is very moist. Steam your face before, it will help. I think at least.

I thought if you don't pop your pimple you would only get less scarring?
