n00bie 0 Share Posted February 10, 2007 Even using one gently and cleaning it often, could using my brush (animal hair) be breaking me out?
IFeelBroken 1 Share Posted February 10, 2007 Possible...But I doubt it...It might just be what you are using...Is the makup noncomedogenic?

IFeelBroken 1 Share Posted February 10, 2007 No...as long as you clean it daily....It's most likely the make up... Sorry...
haylie 0 Share Posted February 10, 2007 You should wash your brushes every 3 days or so (if it's a liquid foundation, I'd suggest more) because your oils from your face can get on the brush and then reinfect you.
brandolynn 287 Share Posted February 10, 2007 washing is important, but some brushes are just irritating to the skin. I've never found a brush that did not make me feel itchy. I don't like makeup brushes at all.
DiscoBloodbath 0 Share Posted February 10, 2007 uhm.... what mmu were you using? was it bare essentuals by any chance. because they have a long history og breaking people out and irritating the skin.
pinki3 0 Share Posted February 10, 2007 It could be your brushes.. But i recommend cleaning your face brushes that you use for face poweders every 3-4 days with a gentle mild baby shampoo because there can be bacteria buildup.

n00bie 0 Author Share Posted February 11, 2007 I wasn't using mineral makeup with Bismuth Oxychloride--one brand was one that's never been mentioned here, the other brand was Lumiere. I'm really just wondering if the material of the brush itself could have been making me break out.
User15978 1 Share Posted February 11, 2007 find out what the hairs are on the brush? animal heair synthetic? Also maybe its not from ur MMU or brush, something in your regimen? Have you started something new?

iceboi 1 Share Posted February 11, 2007 It may depend on how hard you're pressing the brush against your face. Also some brushes are scratchy so that may be an allergic issue!
