Make a paste of honey, wheat flour, & vinegar, then use it to lightly cover a new outbreak of pimples. Keep paste on overnight, & rinse off in the morning. Accelerates healing process.

Ha LaLa2006,

I think that while vinegar can be effective as a disinfectant it will cause more damage to the skin than it would be beneficial. Vinegar is one of the most acidic substances you will find in any household and the skin absorbs any moisture you place on it. You will end up making the skin more acidic than before and, although it will stop infections, it will allow more growth of bacteria.

You should try Himalayan Crystal Salt. It is just as effective but it has the highest concentration of elements in the world. Very cheap to buy online in the shape of a bar of soap. All you do is wet and apply and you'll see reductions within hours.

I have to say, though, these are both just treatments for the symptoms of acne. By the time you have to treat the acne it is already too late to prevent it. You should look into changing your diet because I found that the main cause for acne is pH balance. I found this blog entry that might help explain why:

At the same site they have entries on achieving pH balance and also about Himalayan Crystal Salt:

Actually ACV is one of the most popular acne treatments on acne.org. You sound like you're advertising for the salt, quiet honestly..

Guest Mankind

My mate at uni had some leaflet about the uses of vinegar and there were over 100. It aint just for fish and chips or salad dressings (more ACV really).

Indeed, it is one of the most popular natural treatments on this site. I tried it last year and it got rid of a few red marks but discontinued because of hassle doing it every night but it is definitely good stuff.

Ingesting it three times a day also was beneficial for my overall health as it helps flush toxins out your system quicker I think.
