British Company says it can cure anything - "Stem"

Recommended Posts

Any implications for scar treatments do you think?

possibly but not 4 awhile. if the results promised are indeed real, i expect they'd first be used to treat life threatening conditions and then eventually moved down to cosmetic procedures. im also willing to bet it'd be quite expensive :/ it'd still be muggin if it works, whether for scars or not.

This sounds so promising. It seems like we are on the verge of a cure on so many fronts, it just makes me sick to think we might have to wait years for practical application. We want results and we want them now!!!!

yeah, makes me feel better about my scarring, makes me think it will only be a few years before my skin is as good as new, but for now, I really hope Dr. Chu does a good enough job for me to not worry about my scarring any more.

I contacted TriStem and asked them about the possibility of their treatments extending to scarring. Here is the response:

Dear Anna,

TriStem is currently embarking on proof of principle trial in patients with

aplastic anaemia and leukaemia. We are also in the process of testing our

retrodifferentiated stem cells in animal models of neurological disorders.

Furthermore a proof of principle trial will be initiated early next year for

diabetes in animals. Once all the above research is complete we will be in

a better position to predict the functional utility of the

retrodifferentiated stem cells in repairing various tissue damage in human.

I hope the above is helpful.

Dr. Ilham Saleh Abuljadayel

Wow, thanks Anna.

If this turns out to be the real deal on stem cells, that Dr. will be a household name at some point. If anyone could say her name.
