Hey there,

I am currently using Panoxyl 2.5% and Eucerin 5% Urea as the main part of my routine. It's working pretty well, but I seem to be going through tonnes of Panoxyl. Does anyone have any suggestions about where to get it cheaply? Or if you get it in a bigger tube or tub? I can't find one anywhere, and it seems daft if the manufacturer doesn't supply it in larger quantities.

The same applies for the Eucerin. I'm currently buying both from my local Boots, but suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Helen

Guest T.M.

I used to get the Panoxyl off the doctor for free on the good old NHS.

A good site (for comparing the supermarkets on this....and on any other grocery shopping come to think of it) is:

http://www.trollydolly.co.uk/

You can do a search for the brand name and it'll show you each product and the supermarket with the lowest price.

If you're after special offers/discounts/BOGOFs on things like H&S etc etc, then take a look at

http://www.fixtureferrets.co.uk/

which is the same comparison service except for promotions.

Neither of them look great in terms of design, but they do the job. Hope this helps.

Thanks for those suggestions. No longer a student, so can't get free prescriptions. When I first saw my doctor about my acne, he prescribed Panoxyl, and I was stupid enough to pay about £6 for the prescription for a tube, which is about £3 in Boots. Why is it that he didn't tell me it's cheaper to buy OTC, and why didn't the Boots pharmacist tell me either? Is there some money making spin for the NHS going on?! Grrr!

I'm trying my best to stock up when things are on offer. I've just bought 3 tubes of Eucerin because it was on 'save 1/3' in Boots, and I'm going to stock up on vitamins and fish oil tablets before their winter sale finishes. Hopefully this will keep me going until it next comes back on offer. Do Boots or Superdrug publish an offering schedule at all does anyone know? It would be quite useful to know when offers are going to start or end. Probably a long shot though, so people spend more money!

Thanks again,

Helen
