I'm experiencing side effects from a very low dosage of B5..

Recommended Posts

I have been taking Vitamin B5 for a few days now 1 500MG pill in the morning after I eat and 1 500MG pill at night (total of only 1 gram). On about the 3rd day of taking the pill in the morning, I felt like I was about to throw up, my stomach was growling and I kept burping inside my mouth. Later that morning I started to have a very sore stomach and ended up having Diarrhea (liquid feces). Don't know if this is normal or what? I am afraid to up-the-dosage now. Any ideas?

Diarrhea? Is it due to B5?

Have you checked with doctor?

1500mg + 1500mg = 3000mg = 3g (not 1g).

I have been taking B5 (total 1g per day) for 2 weeks now...I don't have Diarrhea.

he said 1(one) 500mg twice a day.

those are normal side effects of b5. you just don't have very high tolerance for it.

Ohhh.... :shifty: my bad!

I haven't experience diarrhea since the day T started B5.

But, everyone is different.

He/she better check with doctor!

Hope he/she is fine now.

Its probably just a coincidence. Such a low dose shouldn't have an effect on you. And if you are taking B5 then you should be taking a b-complex with it too which counteracts all side efefcts of B5.
