How much to apply of Retin-A?

Recommended Posts

I've been on it for nearly 4 months now and the thought just occured to me, but am I applying way too much of the stuff? Everywhere I look it says to apply a pea-sized amount, but that seems like a grossly small amount. I usually end up applying about 3-4 peas worth I guess, is that alot? I figure the better I can see it going on my skin the better it's probably working. Am I applying too much?

if it's working well for you with not much irritation then keep doing what your doing. you are really only supposed to use a pea sized amount. If put it on one index finger, then dab your two index fingers together then make small dots of retin a all over your face with your fingers and rub it in a pea sized amount should be enough to cover your face.

Yes, I follow the pea size guideline with Differin and it is plenty to cover the whole face with a thin layer.
