Murad vs. Proactiv

Recommended Posts

I couldn't find the post on this either.. so if it's been discussed, sorry!

Which has been more helpful? I use proactiv and it keeps my face clear [still have scars] but just a few pop up every once in a while.

Anyone think Murad is better than proactiv? Or anyone out there tried Murad successfully?

I agree with WTW. Murad is more expensive and simply just does not work.

I also agree with WRW. I tried Murad and boy did it cause my face to breakout and become so OILY! Proactiv is much better...I used it for more than 5 years...but seems my skin needs are changing and gets drier more often when I turned 30. Now instead of breaking out once every other month or so...I am breaking every month with not one zit...but several a month.

I've changed my regimine to Differin..it's only been 4 weeks...hopefully it works. It doesn't dry out my face as much...I am trying to be as Gentle on my skin as possible.

I've never tried Murad BUT I tried the ProActiv systema nd it tore my face up! It was WAY too harsh and it made my skin 100x worse. If you have sensitive skin you should stay far, far away.

I've tried both, and they both are horrible. Murad was a nightmare though, it took me months to get my skin back to somewhat normal after using it. There's just too much of a good thing in both of them. There's too much BP in Proactiv and too much SA in Murad. My own personal opinion, I think SA and BP should be used in small amounts, too much will cause problems.
