Can bezoyl peroxide cause scarring?

Recommended Posts

I'm not too sure on this so can anyone clarify whether or not BP can make people more prone to scarring and maybe some explanation why or why not? Thank you

does it cause scarring? no. in MY experience, bp does slow the healing process though. ie: red marks and the like. i am not anti-bp at all, i use it at night.. every night. but indeed i experience a longer staying of red marks when using bp. i picked between longer red marks or more acne.. easy choice.

When I first when on Benzamycin the doctor who prescribed it said it should help prevent scarring (he provided an explanation but I can't remember what he said). In fact he's the only doctor at the surgery who's ever bothered to explain my medication to me.
