ok i mreally confused. i went into my parents room and found a lotion that said lac-hydrin 12%. Hmmmm ive seen this word before.....o yea people talk about lac-hydrin 5 all the time on acne.org. so what the hell is lac-hydrin??and is it safe to use 12%

Lac-hydrin Five is a moisturizer with lactic acid (which exfoliates & helps get rid of flakiness that BP can cause). You can buy it over the counter at a drugstore, like Walgreens.

Lac Hydrin 12% is a higher strength prescription moisturizer. Lac-hydrin Five is pretty strong on the face as it is (can sting at first) so I wouldnt use that 12% you found. Your parents probably have a prescription for it.
