Chai tea allergy?

I can drink caffeine, milk, etc. generally without problems. But reccently, whenever I drink a chai tea (with soymilk), I break out. What in chai tea might I be allergic to that is not in other teas? What does this mean I should avoid?

Thanks so much!

Could be the soy, or it could be one of the spices in chai (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, cardamon, ginger)

do you breakout if you drink it with regular milk instead of soy. it's probably the soy. also chai has a lot of sugar in it like if you get a chai latte from a coffee shop sugar apparently breaks some people out.

or, just stop drinking chai all together.

Good point, I should have made it more clear - its with regular milk, as well as soy. I also don't have a problem with sugar, as I drink a lot of soda without a problem (bad, I know, but that is why I was trying to find alternate caffeine sources). I think R.S. is right, it is probably one of the spices.

Soy allergy is really common, i'd think that is the culprit before any of the spices.

But what if I can have soy protein? Like in my meatless products?
