How do i use jojoba oil?

Recommended Posts

i got my jojoba oil and have used it a few times but i don't know if i'm doing it right. so far, i have been squirting a bit on my palm, then using one finger to rub it around my face. it's really really liquidy so it gets all over. i also noticed that it doesn't feel like it's moisturizing likw it should be. when i put it on, my face still feels dry, as i rub it in, it just feels slimy and dry rather than just dry or soft the way want it. please help

hey there,

first of all, don't use too much! it worried me when i saw the word "squirt" in your description. the oil shouldn't be coming out of the bottle that forcefully at all. also, i only need about 2 drops -- MAYBE 3 at the most -- for my entire face.

i recommend getting a dropper bottle and filling it with the oil. it's very easy to fill, extremely cheap (about $1.65 @ Whole Foods, or you can try another health food store), and will make the dispensing so much more controlled and easier! a worthy investment.

once you are able to better control the dispensing, i would start with 2 drops, and once that is used up, if you feel there are still areas that are quite dry, use 1 more drop (or more, as needed, if you have extreme dryness?).

give it 5-10 minutes to absorb.
