Tane Monitoring

Recommended Posts

I started Tane at the beginning of September :shhh: !

Its now almost November and i havent gone back for ONE checkup or even new blood tests.... :shifty:

When i spoke to my doctor(hes not even a derm but a general practitioner) the day i got prescribed he said i should come at the end of October? Is this correct. It also seems a bit long for me.Im on 20 mg a day.

Also isnt anyone on Tane supposed to be monitored and progress must be checked upon?

Who knows.....my liver could be messing out right now and i dont know :ninja:

Some of your great feedback would be highly appreciated

it should be checked every month, at least until they know how it's effecting you.

This is the problem with getting Accutane from a GP. They often just don't know the bloodwork procedures and dosing requirements the way a derm with years of experience with Accutane does. I think you should insist on bloodwork at least once and at every dosage increase to check for problems. If your bloodwork is iffy at all you need monthly testing.
