Idea: Using sound to break up scar tissue?

Recommended Posts

Has this ever been done before? The idea behind needling is to break up scar tissue. Untethering allows it to be at the same level as the surrounding skin. Now, itstead of using a needle, perhaps ultrasound at the right resonant frequency (for scar tissue/collagen) can achieve this. I don't know, just an idea I had. If it worked, it would be a non-ablative version of needling. Any thoughts?
