Scarfac3 0 Share Posted October 17, 2006 After you apply the benzoyl peroxide to your skin and it dries, how long does it take for it to stop working? Or does it keep working until you wash it off?

Dan 570 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Well, the one study I read on this says 2.5% all the way up to 10% work equally well and kill 99.9% (or somewhere close to that) for 24 hours. So why doesn't the regimen work just once a day? I'm not sure. I'd like to see this study repeated. Perhaps the reason BP works better twice a day is becuase of the secondary benefits aside from bacteria killing properties, such as the drying and peeling properties which may keep pores open. Hard to say.
