Times per Day

I live in a desert, so I am exposed to the sun a lot. I use moisturizer with spf for my drive into work. But I don't really want to use bp before exposing myself to the sun even with a moisturizer with some protection.

What should I expect if I can only apply once a day?

Also, I swim 5 days a week as part of my workout. What effects will the pool water have on my acne?

Cheers.

it all depends on how severe your acne is. if i dont apply bp in the morning and at night, i break out every time. but if you have mild acne, or just occasional pimples it should be fine to just do it at night.

I agree it all depends on the severity and persistence of your acne. You can certainly try it once a day and see how it goes, if you get clear; GREAT! If not, you might need to consider doing it twice a day.

As for swimming, I swim daily in the summertime and it wasn't really a problem. The only concern is to bring along your moisturizer so you can apply it after your swim, as the chlorine can be quite drying. And use sunscreen (if you swim outside).

I do it 2 - 3 times a day, it just matters on your skin. I'm not sure about the pool water, it'll either help clean the pores out or it'll irritate them, lol. If I were you I'd apply it right after you get home/after your activities of the day have ended, and if more is needed then do it at night as the sun and chlorine might not agree with you otherwise

i dont really think anyone needs to be doing 3 times a day, thats a little too much BP in a 24-hour period. ITs a little excessive as well, considering how long BP can last on the face.

My skin broke out when I moved to Phoenix. I had clear skin from 19 through 28. I am 30 now, so I am not breaking out only a daily basis. However, I do workout five days a week after work.

Basically, I swim a mile, change, workout (pushups, pullups, crunches, incline crunches, and dips), then I run 2-3 miles. I do everything listed three times a week, and I swim on the other two days of the week. I sweat pretty bad during this workout.

Now, why moisturize? Besides avoiding dry skin, is there anything else gained by using moisturizer? I don't really care if my skin is flaking or dry.

Cheers.
