klvoe 1 Share Posted October 12, 2006 You have to be careful not to pick at ALL on something like RAM... or else you will be left with a red mark for quite some time... RAM makes your skin half as thick (only 4 layers where is usually 8), so it is much more sensitive
JR86 0 Share Posted October 12, 2006 i think i may have just given myself a scar today. Hopefully it isn't permanent. I was trying to squeeze some blackheads out of my nose (stupid, i know) and now there's a mark there. I've been on retin A for about 7 months and i've been on accutane for 1.5 months so my skin i guess is pretty thin.

StrawberryShortcake 0 Share Posted October 13, 2006 I haven't been picking blemishes, but my skin is cracked in some areas and I've been picking at that. Like it gets really hard and stiff and then cracks/flakes off in large chunks. It's left some red sores, do you think they'll scar too?
tbomb 0 Share Posted October 13, 2006 Actually, retinoids make your skin shed faster, so your scars will fade much quicker than usual...at least, mine do on differin. when i get a red mark, very rarely does it last more than a week.
