Derm said I had scars even though they arent indented at all he said that they were acne scars and I did some kind of light therapy. He also prescribed me tazorac and said that that's the best medicine out right now for my skin in the long term. A lot of people here say it's hyperpigmentation or blood vessels but he said it's just inflammation in those red spots that cause them to be red. And when left alone the inflammation eventually dissapears may take hella long though! And another thing which puzzled me was he said that in those red marks there is actually still a little acne left. My skin has absolutely no bumps of any kind and he said deep down in the skin there is still a little acne left and that's why it is still inflammed a little bit. Anyone else believe this?

Bull shit what derm said

well he has a good background and well...he is a skin specialist, I should do what he tells me.

Would you mind posting some pics showing how do your redmarks look like? Just wanna compare yours to mine.

unfortunately I do not post pics anymore because I keep getting responses like "damn your marks are bad" or "I feel much better after seeing your pic." I started a vbeam thread a while ago to try and help people but there are too many assholes out there and they just want to say mean things so I stopped posting pics.

The last pic I posted was a long time ago and yes it's improved a lot more but still here....And as far as peels, I've only done about 2 so if I had any improvement it was not because of the peels.

just tried sending pics, I have no idea how to do it through pm

YES!!! This is the truth, this is what Ive thought for a long time! That my red marks are acne. If I treat my red marks with any topical stuff they just gett worse because of irritation. But My red marks have also got worse, more red and they've also spred out on my face much more. They have dissepeard and come back with revenge... Im pretty sure red marks are active acne

also accutane didnt work on them.... 3 month post I still break out.. LOL Im lucky

he wouldnt of prescribed you tazorac so soon after Accutane treatment, even after 3 months.

the usuall recovery time from accutane is 6 to 12 months.

im not saying your lying, but it seems weird, ah well derms know best

a lot of derms prescribe tazorac or retin A right after accutane for maintenance. it works well for most people. you have to wait a few months in between courses of accutane and should wait 6-12 months to have laser/dermabrasion, things like that. but taz is fine to start right away.

Went to the derm again and got prescribed finacea. Anyone heard of this stuff? It's supposed to be one of the best things out there for red marks. It's really expensive though, abotu the same price as tazorac which is like 100 bucks without insurance.

all these acne creams are way too expensive, they are making a ton off of us. there must be a conspiracy out there, someone is putting chemicals into our food to make us get acne and they get all the money! i just spent 200 bucks on 2 creams this past week. And everytime i go to the derm they prescribe me another cream.

Prescribing another new cream when the current cream is not working is the MAIN job of a derm.

well... I've only had that other cream for 2 days. I don't think that is enough time to evaluate whether it works or not.

Oh... "Time" will heal everything. Ya, give it more time to see the improvment from the cream. Good Luck.

1-2 zits per week and gone in couple days is a GREAT news... well done.

How does the retin-A micro work on your redmarks? I hope you see improvement.
