Large, economy sized 2.5% bp

Big news everybody!

A large, economy sized 2.5% bp is on its way. After a couple of months of research, I put in an order with a manufacturer yesterday. It will be in a 4oz. tube and be much more affordable than the on-the-spot. Also, it is far better quality. I went with the most expensive one I found, but the concensus is that this manufacturer is the top of the line. They've been working with bp for 30 years and are very knowledgable. The sample product they sent is fantastic.

I'm going strictly by the book on everything which means it will go through 3 months of FDA testing before I begin selling. So it will be for sale in a few months.

If you want to know when it will be ready, join the mailing list on the homepage. http://www.acne.org I spent all of my savings on this project you guys. You better buy it! ;-)

Also, as a side note, I am going to try to get an affiliate program going so everyone can make some money off of this. I'll keep you posted about that.

Hey Dan,

So you've used the sample, and you think that it's better quality than Neutrogena on the spot? So it's cheaper and better quality! What great news!

That's great news, can't wait to see how the finished product turns out.

Can you list the ingredients and an estimated price for a tube?

Excellent, so what'd you mean by far better quality than Neutrogena on the spot? Does it clear acne faster? Less irritation and redness?

The product I ordered is an "aqueous base" or a gel in other words. For this reason, it spreads much easier than the on-the-spot which is a cream. This is great for people who will be using it on the back/chest especially. For people using it on the face and neck, it absorbs better and faster, and does not turn white during exercise. For all of these reasons, it is superior to anything else I've tried. I had a couple of my "before and after" people try it with me and they much prefer it as well.

The company making the product is Prestige Cosmetics. They have been in business for 30 years and are experts in benzoyl peroxide. We couldn't be dealing with better people.

I'm very excited to get this going. As far as the price goes, I need to run the figures with my accountant and figure out exactly how inexpensive I can make it. The more I've researched this, the crazier the prices of the stuff on the market seem. Maybe it's because they have such high overhead. I'm not sure. However, my price will be great. Most likely under ten bucks for 4 oz.

As far as availability goes, I think it will only be available in the U.S. to start. As far as I know there are different laws depending on where I ship it. However, I will definitely look into international shipping for you, and be sure to let you know if that can happen.

F49Z0R5!!!: A company made this for Dan. It'll probably be available in 3 months or so...after the FDA testing. I don't really care what it looks like as long as it works smile.gif. I would think that you can only get it from Acne.org at first. It's a little more difficult to get your product to be carried by a retailer. It's still BP so if On-the-Spot made your skin tight and flaky then this one will probably too. It's just as effective for Dan, you'll have to try for yourself I guess smile.gif. Not the same ingredients but all that matters is the BP anyways. Yes he tried it.

BTW I also hope you'll be able to ship it to Canada Dan. Shipping between Canada and the US is fairly easy. If not just mark it as Shampoo or something and send me a case biggrin.gif

smee is somehow inside my head :-)

Yes, have tried it, and loved it. Others have tried and loved it too. It is bp so it will still dry/redden at first.

I am having the product made for us. It does not currently exist. The ingredients are different from the on-the-spot because it is a gel and not a cream. It is just as effective. It will be available on acne.org at first. It would be great if the stores would start to carry it, but that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish I think.

Just as an informal survey, would you guys like to be involved in an affiliate type of program where if people typed in your screen-name for instance when they ordered, you would get 10% of the $ from the order? I don't know if this is possible, but I'm looking into it.

An affialte program would be great but if anything, all the profits should go to YOU! You're doing SOO much for us and we all apperciate your work!

Ive also checked out the restrictions for shipping to Canada and here it is:

"Canada

-Dangerous Goods - (i.e., Liquids, Flammables, Chemicals, etc.)

-Alcoholic Beverages, unless Country of Origin issues Sanitary Certificate.

-Foodstuffs, unless the Country of Origin issues a Sanitary Certificate.

-Personal effects, unless shipper provides a certificate of usage. Also, the recipient must provide a copy of passport validated by consulate for tax exemption.

-Seeds

-Tobacco, although cigarettes are allowed if the Country of Origin issues a Sanitary Certificate.

-Ivory

-Gambling devices

-Pornographic Materials

-Encryption Software

-Drugs, both prescription and nonprescription

-Jewelry

-Knives "

http://www.douwantit.com/web/productRestri...?country=canada

So Dan, I guess if you are going to be following every rule of the book, you cant ship to Canada?(Drugs, both prescription and nonprescription ) sad.gif I'd really apperciate it if you could follow up on this rule to see if there are any exceptions.

Good news Dan... i can see this startin off as a US only thing, but i'm sure once you're established some of the profit could help you get it to other parts of the world (UK, Canada, Australia, etc.) an you could well be BIG competition for brands like Neutrogena an Oxy within a year or so, all being well with the shippin laws, etc.

As for the affiliate thing, good idea... but i think it'd be better if you gave the person 1 free tube for 10 refferals maybe?

I dunno... it would be the same, price-wise... (10% offer x 10 = price of 1 tube) it just depends whether or not you wanna send someone a $1 check everytime they get reffered, could be cost-UNEFFECTIVE as far as the postage goes, lol.

Plenty of time to think of that anyhow... whatever you decide, the refferal thing would be a GREAT way to promote your production, or rather... get others to do it for you, hehe. =D>

There is a new product that just came out. Its called clear wear. Ive bought some at wal-mart.

They have a 1.3oz bottle of 2.5% BP for $2.00

Dont think you can get much cheaper than that.

Thats twice the size of Neutrogena for less than half the price. Seems to work just as well too.

The also sell a lot of other acne products. They sell a complete kit for around 8 or 9 dollars.
