Hey,

I'm thinking of going on a 2nd course of roaccutane but don't want to be on the dermo waiting list. It will be at least another 3 months before I can get an appointment and absolutely cannot wait any longer. My acne has always been mild-moderate ongoing, even after the first roaccutane course but has flared up within the last three months. I would even consider it as severe now

I was thinking of ordering roaccutane online without a prescription. Do you know if australia has any rules in regards to importing these drugs?? I dont want to spend a fortune only to have it hold back by customs. I know it would be alot cheaper to get it from the dermo but I cannot bear to feel like this (fear it is getting worst!) any longer! It's really affecting my work and social life.

BJ'sGuRL...I use Invite Vitamin E cream - you can pick it up from most chemists, it's in an orange tube. It's a pretty intense moisturiser, and you might want to wait a few weeks into your treatment before using it. I've found now that if I put it on at night, I wake up with beautiful soft skin. It's also great for any yucky dry patches on the rest of your body.

Grab some emu oil too...there's one that's mixed with Vit E cream that's also available from most chemists. This stuff is AMAZING on dry skin!

I tried cetaphil cream and found it worsened my redness and sometimes made my face burn. Some people swear by it though, so you have to find what works for you.

Find a light moisturiser with sunscreen in it to use each morning. I use Neutrogena Moisture Defense...I love it.

Hope this helps! Where in OZ are you from?

SleeplessInSyd...Don't get your prescription online, it's really dangerous and you never know what you're going to get. Go to a derm...I've found if you call up and say it's urgent they get you in more quickly, I only had to wait 2 weeks. Call around and find a derm that's available. Not sure about customs, but we all know how anal Australia is about ANYTHING coming in so I don't like your chances.. :)

Haha, yeah you're probably right about that! I guess when you're feeling really down, you dont put much into your thoughts aye? desparate..oh wells!

I'm gonna go back to my GP to get other referrals. My derm right now is so popular that theres a 3 month waiting list!

It just seem so easy to obtain it online..so tempting!

Awww that sux....yea i also had to wait to get into a derm....only one comes down every 6 weeks to where i live so it sux. but yea i had to wait like i think it was 5 months...and its not like i was comfortable to go out and socialise....im still not...my skin effects me greatly! all i can say is hang in there and try to do something to get your mind of the matter and time will breeze through that fast and in no time you'll be in that dermo office getting what you need :D DEFINATLY DO NOT get tha stuff off the net plz!!! haha it would be very tempting though...i was also thinking the same thing there at one stage but i hung out lol! Keep ya chin up ;) let me know how everything goes! XxOoxX!

i don't condone buying it off the internet but desperate times call for desperate measures. And so i decided to buy it off the net.

my acne was starting to scar a little so i thought why wait for 5 months to be told i needed something i knew i already needed. cost quite a bit of money but i DON'T regret it because it has cleared me up. i was close to suicide cause i just couldn't take it anymore, and i think if i would have waited for 5 months i wouldn't have been here today.

if you've got the money and have no other option then do it. you only live once. don't let it ruin your life.

but like i said i don't condone it.

I'm from inner west! Where are you from? How come you got it for soooo cheap? I remember when I took it years ago it was still around $30 or so. Is it a generic brand or is it roaccutane?

Guys, you will be please to hear that I finally got an appointment with the derm this coming Monday! yay! I called yesterday and the receptionist booked in for first thing Monday morning! So happy because it will probably mean I can start taking the drug that day too! (fingers cross!!)

Btw, just curious, how much is eevryone paying for their derm visits? And do you know how much we can claim back on Medicare?

OMG. That's so cheap.

I'm paying about 32 per box and my derm visits are 160 per visit and my pill is about 65/3mths. It's so expensive!! I get hardly any back from medicare as well. I'm getting ripped off pretty bad. I'm seeing one from the eastern suburbs..

I got the roaccutane goodie gift pack too.

Hey. I'd suggest Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion, you can get it at most Chemists.

Can I ask which derm you are going to? I'm seeing one in bankstown and it'll cost me $130 per visit (and i dont think it'll get cheaper the more you go). The receptionist told me that I could claim around half back, so thats still $65! Not as cheap as what you're quoting. I didn't really shop around because I thought there were standard rates? darn, anyway I should be lucky that my derm is seeing me on Monday!

I don't have a health card only Medicare, so I guess Roaccutane won't be that cheap for me. I seriuosly don't care how much it costs..just as long as it works! I cleared me up the first time but that was about 6 years ago..now I have to treat my 'adult' acne

I have a GP appointment tomorrow morning so I can get a referral. I will create a log when I start my course..wish me luck!

Yeah I know Rhodes..it's hard to get to workout a car aye? Do you know any derm that consults on weekends? It's so hard for me to take off work during the day. I had to explain to my manager why I will be late on Monday..it's soooooo embarassing mentioning the word 'acne'. YUK!

I will see this one in bankstown first and see how it goes..btw..did your derm prescribe you Roaccutane on the first visit? I'm praying that I don't need to come back a second time before he puts me on the drug

I really wish all of you will have success stories after your course. The first time I took it, I didn't remember the IB period. It seem to clear up immediately and I think I was on it for 6 or 7 months?? I don't even remember my dosage?? But I reckon it was quite low. I'm really pissed off at myself for not keeping some sort of log because my first course seem to be a blur now. I can't believe its been over 6 years now! I took it when I was in year 12 and now I'm 24 years old! I dont remember having 'good' skin for a long time either! My derm took me off Roaccutane after 7 months because it didn't seem to be effective anymore. My skin was at its best probably when I was on it right before the last couple of months. It's been pretty mild during uni and ever since but I broke out like crazy within the past three months. I have no idea what happened??? My face is actually scarring now..my skin has NEVER been this bad in my life!

lets just pray that this time round it would I'll be cured for good..well I'm hoping..

Sorry hun i dont know any derms that consults on weekends...if its going to be hard for you 2 take off time work during the week then i would strongly suggest u go back to your doc and ask for him/her find a derm thats open on weekends because ur going to have to see ur derm thru out your treatment so thats gona mean that u gota take off alot of time during the week if thats the case....

I had to wait 1 month b4 i actually got tane....i had to be on diane 35 pill for 1 month and then did bloodtest then saw derm few days later then got it that day....it's such a hassslee....im just happy im finally on it...6 months seems sooo far away but gota be patient...this website reallllllly helpps :)

Hey guys, best of luck!

I started acctuane beginning of this year i think, was on it for 6 months and was great success!! Side effect's weren't that bad, dry lips, dry skin, dry lips were the worst though, but it's sooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it in the end, i'm more cofident now and i can go out without having to worry and i can look people in the face! Come 6 months time or so when your finished you'll be ecstatic!!!!!!!! I had severe acne, now, i only have a fwe pimples but they come and go quick! But it really ain't that noticible anymore! And i got commented on my skin by this girl at school! NEVER EVER have i been commented on my skin before, it felt good to know they can notice the difference too!

So guys stick in there, the side effects are well worth it in the end so don't give up, in the end, you'll be a new you! Best feeling gauranteed! 100% money back! HAHA.

Peace guys.

Not a problem!! If you have any questions or anything just post it here or PM me and i'll try pass on my knowledge from what i've gone through!

Well just to let you know this is what i did during acctuane.

Morning: NOTHING, didn't wash or anything because if i did it would just make my face red & i didn't want to look red while i was out at school.

Night: Washed my face with cetaphil and applied cetaphil moisturizer. Applied a crapload of vaseline on my lips so that my lips wouldn't be all dry in the morning.

And the best lip balm was Blistex.

That's about it really.

Best of luck!!!
