what works for mild/moderate bacne?

Recommended Posts

I think ppl have had some success using head and shoulders shampoo instead of soap. My husband uses a bar of sulpher soap (I got it at a health food store) and it seems to keep his back pretty clear.

Hibiscrub/hibiclens. Apply once a day, leave for a few minutes for it to soak in, rinse off.

In my experience it cuts the amount of new acne by about 50%.

It's actually a surgical scrub, but it's not harsh, I even use it on my face.

You need to keep it out of your eyes and ears though.

What worked very well for me:

1) Dont touch or pick (most important thing)

2) Wash with Head&Shoulders for men every day (tha one the contains zink)

3) Exfoliate 2 times/week

4) Go to the sea for the salt water and the sun(thats the best working method of getting a clear and nice looking skin i think (if its winter, maybe a bath with sea salt and going to a tanning salon may do the same thing but i havent tried that)

Personnaly, I stopped doing anything. It simply vanished once left alone.

Adding too many chemicals to the skin might actually hinder the inflammatory regions.

How about some tanning. Hit the tanning bed once or twice a month. I always found my bacne would clear up in the summer when i was out in the sun. Dont go overboard with tanning though.
