actually epsom salts are a purgatory (sp?).... as in if you drink lots it will make you throw up..... it great if you need to get something out of your stomach and can't do the fingers in the throat thing!!!

If you are small and your stomach isn't use to it, you'll probably feel like crap for a while....... unless you take another dose, then you'll throw it ALL up and feel better ;)

I think you are mistaken...

Oral magnesium sulfate, or magnesium oxide, is used as a laxative.

I don't know where you heard that they induce vomiting, in most cases I thought people induce vomiting themselves with their gag reflex in emergency cases...

ES is pretty well known for helping constipation, and for use in liver flushes.

no, i'm not mistaken. i don't just say things for the hell of it. there are several uses for epsom salts, a purgatory just happens to be one of them.

plus, a lot of people, myself included, can't just trigger the gag reflex to throw up.

Why would you want to be throwing up though? The only time I make myself puke is when I'm drinking and I want to keep on drinking.

Anyways epsom salt is bad stuff. Next time just try sea salt and lukewarm water. Works just as well and dosn't make you as sick.
