Shave the brown spots away?

Recommended Posts

Hmm...

I've noticed my shaving areas gets cleared of all the brown spots whereas other spots just seem to linger. Could I possibly be able to get the top layer of skin off by shaving and mix that with lightening cream helpts to elminate the spots?

Only a theory.....

I noticed the same thing, i don't get acne on my face at all on the areas where I have to shave like I used to in college/high school. Also, my skin tone in pretty much perfect in those areas unlike the areas where I still have brown spots and I don't shave.

I think using the tape method, which I just started a week ago, will have the same effect on the spots after a few months...I hope.

would you advise shaving twice in a row? first to shave the hair away, the second time to shave the brown spots away?

What I said was a theory. You may want to practice on a spot and compare to that with your other spots after few weeks.

Problem with my skin is it adapts quickly to every medication out there. I even tried/trying Dan's method, but after the first week, its effectiveness seem have weakened. So I'm guessing that holds true for "lightening" creams as well.

So by decreasing the "protective" layer of my skin, perhaps the cream will work better. But I only do it on the brown spots (with no bumps what so ever), and never on active acne. I've been doing it on a spot this week, it might be a hallucination or misjudgement, but the spot seems to have diminished more than the other ones.

So I suggest doing a test patch first and combine that with some sort of lightening cream and see how that works out for you.
