Vitamin E Oil?

Recommended Posts

So my mom gave me a bottle of Vitamin E oil because it's 'good for the skin'. Which is a bit vague.

It says this on the bottle: Vitamin E Oil-Antioxidant 28,000 I.U.

I am currently on Retin A Micro. Would this Vitamin E oil cause acne or anything? Also, I have some dark hyperpigmentation caused by acne. Does Vitamin E help fade acne discolorations (I thought I heard it does).

Thanks for your help!

Wait until your clear because Vitamin E is supposed to be good for redmarks...I used Vitamin E for a while, but there were better treatments for the marks, so I gave it up. Don't take the chance for now. Use it on your lips though and cuticles, it's great, lol.

Thanks for the info!

What other things are good for marks? I don't have 'red' marks, however. I have those dark marks that tend to be common in African American skin. But I'm assuming whatever treatments would still work on those?

My derm gave me Finacea, which I was told is good for acne marks (I think it's used mainly for roseacia), so I've been using that lately. No noticeable results though.
