Edit: evening primrose oil question

Just got back from Target not too long ago.. and got some Evening Primrose Oil for my skin because I have heard good things about it. I just did a little googling and its suppose to help for hormonal breakouts! woot!

I'm going to take 3 a day.. which is 1500 mg. Is that a high enough dose? And who else has this helped for?

Hey mandy haha I just opened a thread about this stuff, I too have been taking it but then I did some research and found out omega 6 is bad for acne because it causes inflamation... hummm?? It's confusing me...

Hey mandy haha I just opened a thread about this stuff, I too have been taking it but then I did some research and found out omega 6 is bad for acne because it causes inflamation... hummm?? It's confusing me...

Omega 6 is only bad if its out of proportion with omega 3's. Usually, the suggested ratio of omega 3 to 6 is 2:1 or 1:1. So if you start taking a lot of extra omega 6 just make sure you are taking a similar amount of omega-6 to keep everything in balance.
