New to the CSR. Have 2 simple questions.

Recommended Posts

I'm new to this forum, new to CSR, but not new to acne. I'm a 28 year old male that has suffered with mild to moderate acne since I was a teenager. It comes and goes in intensity, but is always around. I plan on setting up a log and putting up some pictures as soon as I can. I work too much. :)

I've tried to find answers to the questions I'm about to ask, but on dialup it is a pain.

1) Is there such things as using too much moisturizer? I have a very dry and irritaed spot under my left eye. I'm guessing it's just very sensitive there. It is flaking a lot. Will adding more moisturizer help or hurt?

2) When I was at CVS, a local drug store, I noticed CVS brand 2.5 BP at a low price. Is generic something to stray away from?

Thanks in advance for anyones comments and help.

HI and welcome!

1. Just use as much moisturizer as you need for your skin to feel comfortable and somewhat "normal". You don't want to slather it on if you don't need to. Just be sure it is oil-free and non-comedogenic.

2. The CVS brand of 2.5% BP has been used by other people successfully with the CSR. So that is fine if you want to start out with it. In time you may get tired of going through those tiny tubes so frequently, in that case, you might consider the CSR gel since it is a huge 4 oz. tube and will last you longer.

Good luck and don't hesitate to holler if you need any help!!
