actually self tanner is a great tool to CONCEAL red marks! i used the "tanning trick" for a VERY long time (maybe 2 years) to make my red marks look lighter..................i have porcelain skin and my red marks were SUPER visible, so what i used to was get a dark fake tan and my scars wouldnt even be that noticeable........and NO it doesnt make them darker,........juts put a bit of conealor where needed

good luck

ps: GET A SELF TANNER THATS MADE *jUST* FOR YOUR FACE.........OTHERWISE IF U USE A BODY ONE IN UR FACE IT WILL BE TOO HARSH.........DONT GET A SUPER OILY ONE EITHER

I agree^. its better useing that than going out in the sun/sunbed. from my experiance it was great it looked like an semi instant improvement in the marks.

Dunno about the darkening, but as for the tanner use -

Coppertone Oil-Free Sunless Tanning lotion (Light/medium or medium/dark)

this is been a question asked many times. most people say it makes the marks appear darker. Even my own dermatologist said not to do it. But my skin is so pale, it really would make my face look much better. can someone take a before after pic right before they self tan? dont you do it every week?

Do you think this would also work for an overall red complexion? Also, as a guy, I want something that would look as natural as possible. Any suggestions?
