Hi Everyone,

Sorry if this debate has been done before, but i'm just wondering which laser would be more effective for acne scarring, red marks that have hung around for years now, and oily skin. I also have a few small white scars that are surrounded by red marks and I still break out at least once a month - I'm in my 20's.

Is it common to just have one side of the face done at a time as well?

Fraxel is by FAR more effective. It is not normal nor would your derm probably recommend only getting one side of your face down at a time.

I think Fraxel is must stronger laser than smoothbeam and much more effective. I've done smooth beam it did ok with red marks. Smoothbeam is cheaper than fraxel, but if u need other acne scars cleared up I would definately would go for the fraxel.
