Swapping Tetracyclines

I use Tetracyclines to help control my acne but find after a couple of months that the antibiotic is less effective and get minor outbreaks. I have previously used oral Minocycline and Trimethoprim tetracyclines and have swapped from trimethoprim to minocycline before and found this to be effective but I am concerned now swapping from one to another, will result in a major outbreak whilst the new tetracycline begins to work, suggested around 6-8 weeks and just wondered if it would be possible to combine both the drugs for a small period to eliminate the possibility of an outbreak, in a controlled way.

Has anyone done this or could possibly advise whether they think this would be a good idea?
