So how many of you experienced a full-blown breakout a little over a week into the regimen?

Well, I have a full-blown breakout on my face as we speak and I'll attribute it to my skin just producing stuff that was already going to happen, plus the fact that my face became WAY too dry last week, causing skin/bacteria to get caught in my pores and unable to escape.

Am I alone in this?

You are not alone.

I experienced a bad breakout the first week as well.

Be careful with the dryness as that seems to make them more frequent, or so I have noticed.

breakouts are common on the onset of the regimen.

my way of thinking when it comes to skin etc.

is after the regimen your skin should pretty much feel "normal"

if it doesnt.

you know you have done something wrong.

ie after applying moisturiser you should be able to smile wide and not crack face with dryness

if its stil dry

you need to apply more moisturiser and less bp next time

every1 has their own balance of bp/moisturiser to get right.

It's very normal to have breakouts for several weeks into the regimen, since acne bacteria that don't get killed (on account of you not using the full amount because you're still getting used to the BP) can still form pimples. Pimples take a couple of weeks to form usually, so BP doesn't really start clearing you up right away. After you've been using the full amount of BP for a couple of weeks, though, you should see a marked decrease in breakouts, though you still might get occasional ones for a while longer. Some people clear up after the first month, some take three or four. Just hang in there!
