Hey, sorry to hear of this frustration. :( Unfortunately, different things work for different people. BP did not work for me as well, but what DID work for me was 2.5% of salicylic acid because it unclogged my pores and dried up active acne. I'm not saying it will work for you because everyone's skin and tolerance is different, but it might be worth a try. Maybe it didn't work for you that much because the % of SA wasn't high enough? I hope you get clear soon! :)

Other options are mandelic acid (a less irritating glycolic acid that is also antibacterial), or an over the counter retinoid product such as the Vivant vitamin A products (derm-a-gel, exfol-A) or Green Cream. Those will flush out impacted pores and help keep your pores from clogging again. Depending on the reason for your sensitivity to BP - you might be able to use a hydrogen peroxide cream (HP is the active ingredient in Bennzoyl peroxide). If using hydrogen peroxide isn't a problem for you you might try one of those. I think Philosophy's "on clear day" line has an HP cream, and I think clearasil does too.

I use effaclar K which is 2.5%. It's a cream and it soaks into the skin nicely, and it can be used with other products without irritation. Just google "effaclar K" and you'll find it. It's a little pricey but it comes in a huge bottle and lasts awhile. :)
