Anyone know what is the gram content of drospirenone in Yasmin? Sometimes 25mgs of Spironolactone is reccommended for a degree of oil reduction, other times a level of 150mgs is reccommended. Drsp I am supposing is a weaker variant. Anyone know how much of the drsp does the Yasmin contain and how much of it would be required to get the same oil reducing effects of Spiro?

Wow. just 3.0 grams? I'm no chemist, but that seems so little...

About the spiro dosing: I just heard that drsp is a weaker variant of spironoalctone, that's all.

It is a chemical analogue of spironolactone. Spiro is C24 H32 O4 S. Drospirenone is C24 H30 O3 - it has 2 less hydrogen, one less oxygen, and no sulphur. It's obviously very similiar to spiro, and it's considered to be the progestin which is closest to the one the body naturally makes. I don't think you can really compare dosages, though.
