when should you consider medication?

okay. the question is. how long should u have acne for, and how bad should it be before you seek medication as a cure??

iv got mild acne, but iv had it for years and tried everything including the CSR

i don't think it's a matter of how long (unless you had like 1-2 breakouts in your entire life), but a matter of how much acne affects you, and how much you want to get rid of it. When you start using medications though, be prepared - some can make it worse, others can cure it, you have to find the right med for you. I started taking meds over a year ago - and my acne wasn't that bad. With failed medications my acne got worse over the course of this year, but finally i've found a combination of of meds that are slowly returning me back to my original form (Differin and Bactrim). So, i don't know, if your acne really bugs you, then i'd say go for it, but if it's not a big deal, just wait until you eventually grow out of it.
