When I told my derm about my picking problem he actually recommended using a needle and neosporin, followed with a little circular bandage.

I did this for years, but recently stopped. Now I let the whitehead dry up and flake off. I get perfect skin underneath. No scarred pores or reoccuring zits.

I guess what has really made this possible is the Isotretinoin. Instead of two weeks, it now only takes two days for a whitehead to dry up. I kinda wish I could get more whiteheads now because I got a few of them over scarred pores. When they dried and flaked off the scarred pore was gone!
