Clearasil Ultra

Recommended Posts

That is a combination of 10% benzoyl peroxide and glycolic acid.

I'm not sure why you put "hydrogen peroxide" in your thread title though.

The only problem with this is that it is 10% which is just too strong for the CSR. It might work a treat for a spot-treatment on individual zits, but for a routine treatment and preventative, I think it would be much too harsh and drying.

I doubt it could do much.

I did some reading on how Hydrogen Peroxide cannot penetrate into the pores so it just sits on the surface.

It is the 'benzoyl' portion of benzoyl peroxide that pulls the peroxide portion deep into the pores so it can get to the bacteria down there.

So I don't think hydrogen peroxide and SA would be very effective except for maybe surface whiteheads. I don't think it would do a thing for inflammatory acne.

I"m not sure what your question is though.

Are you wanting to use that Clearasil product as a spot-treatment while you are on the regular CSR?

That would probably be too drying in my opinion.
