playground_love 0 Share Posted June 29, 2006 i've been taking b5 vitamins for about a month (vitacure, 10g a day). my skin got much worse the first two weeks, then cleared up a bit the next, and is now back to looking terrible. i'm very frustrated because others seem to see results within a few days!do you think i should stick with it, or is it safe to say it just isn't working for me?gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! A sadness I can't erase 0 Share Posted June 29, 2006 I think you're better off taking a spectrum of B vitamins (such as a B-Complex supplement), because megadosing on one particular vitamin isn't safe unless you know for sure you're deficient. Dingo Jellybean 1 Share Posted June 29, 2006 In terms of pore size, B5 works in a matter of days, but mostly in 1 week.For pimples, that's a different story. Honestly, B5 shrunk my pores when I took it...then as I gradually went off it, my pores stayed the same size and didn't revert back. But I made huge dietary changes, which tells me B5 can help speed the process but won't fix it since it just masks the symptoms of acne.
