Afraid to start Doxy ....

Recommended Posts

hi,

My Derm told me that I should go on doxy, but im afraid to- I have mild to moderate acne with red marks - Right now I use tazorac on my face and back along with triaz ( only on my back for right now). the triaz worked for a while, but then it just started to make my chin and nose really red so i stoped using it on my face and now i only use it on my back- I dont even know if the triaz and tazorac is working it seems 2 keep things under control a little bit but it doesnt seem to make me clear :( / Do you think I should try the doxy?

I also use triaz and tazorac.. and I'm on doxy..

It takes a while to be completely clear, Yes I had severe acne but now it is very mild, I just have alot of scars left over which will be gone after the chemical peels i hope!

What are you afraid of?

I am experiencing nausea and vomitting but if it keeps my acne under control I'm up for it.. and most likely it will be over soon

I had minimal nausea on the doxy. I know this has been a problem for some people. At first I had a little, but if I make sure to take it with food, its no problem. I think it has helped to get the breakout I got from Differin under control. No side effects or anything (I've been on it about 6 wks).

Why not try it then? It can really help prevent inflamatory breakouts. How long have you been using the other products?
