I don't mind being ugly

From my face of decadence

But I can't look at my ugliness

When my face is wasting

But its on the table

My face is cooking

And their lauging at me

while my face is falling

the blood is on the table

And their lookin at me

But im Growing Ugly

The poem's simplicity is rather striking.

A few words.....

Each line creates a different visual, the mental picture is vivid.

The beginning sets the overall tone, middle gets specific and the ending sums it all up.

A sad poem it is....

it doesn't rhyme

hehe poems don't have to rhyme mike :naughty:

Not all poetry is in verse.

I like it.

True, they don't have to rhyme - but if they don't rhyme they're crap!

Poor money_mike

never seen or heard

plays of shakespeare and alike

only rhythmic verses stirred

while he sat by the windowpane

looking at the streetlights

thinking they glowed with butane

never thought of 'this' as a plight

as ignorance akins to the first paradox

he spent his remaining evening with satire by Maddox
